TribulationWeek

Tribulation Week – the Last Days

Time Period:  The Rapture has occurred – all saints brought to heaven to be with Christ – the Period for the Gentiles has ended – next period is for the gathering of the lost Jews that starts with the Tribulation Period.

In the Tribulation period of 7 years, the first three and half years are used to awaken the Jews from their slumber.   The 144,000 go out to preach to them along with the 2 prophets that God Sends.

At the mid-term of the ‘7 year period’  the AntiChrist enters the temple to declare himself and temple worship is stopped.  It is then that the Faithful Jews flee to the mountains, as instructed by Jesus, where God will protect them during the last 3 ½ years of great calamity upon those left.  This starts with the seals opened, the bowls and the trumpets announcing the punishment for their lack of recognizing who is the God of the universe, Jehovah.

Romans 11:26

And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written,   “The Deliverer will come from Zion,

he will banish ungodliness from Jacob”;  27    “and this will be my covenant with them

when I take away their sins.”

After resurrection of church:

Zechariah 13:8-9

In the whole land, declares the Lord,  two thirds shall be cut off and perish,

and one third shall be left alive.           And I will put this third into the fire,

and refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested.  They will call upon my name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘They are my people’; and they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’ ”

The 1/3rd will be placed in a fire that will refine them and their worship to Him.

Zechariah 13:8-9  – 1st 3 ½ years Jews find themselves with a temple and restored worship under the unknown who, the ‘anti Christ’. This verse speaks of the 1/3rd placed in the fire and refined.  While the remainder of the then world will be receiving the judgment of God poured out upon them.

Then at mid point – the Anti Christ is identified and the rennet flees to the mountains.  One might think of the time  that Israel was released from Egypt and God protects them.   They are taken to the wilderness and are refined there to recognize their God.  He also cares and protects them while in the wilderness.

Jer. 31:32-34 – New Covenant Israel

32 not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord. 33 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

A new covenant will be made with those that flee to the mountains.  Here they will know their God and He shall be in their hearts.  He will forgive them and welcome them back into the fold.  They will be awakened from their blindness from the time they crucified their savior.

Matthew 24:15-28  –  At the mid term of the 7 years of tribulation (3 ½) the abomination of Desolation is identified as he stands in the temple announcing himself.  (God would not allow that declaration to occur until He had sealed those that were of the select.)

15 “So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, 18 and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. 19 And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! 20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. 22 And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. 23 Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand. 26 So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.

Daniel 9:26-27 – 483 years and Christ will be killed…

After 3 ½ years into the 7 year Tribulation time will the AntiChrist will become identified.  Recall, that Israel will have had their temple and worship in it from the start of the tribulation period.

During the 7 year period, the supernatural will become common place.  (The 2 prophets will come to Israel, maybe Moses and Elijah  (whomever).  They will be known by the Jews.   The 144,000 will come forth at this time to point the way to Christ.

John 21:5-11 –(or the 8th sign) –  V. 11 – 153 fish (men) caught in a net that did NOT tare.  Meaning that all of God’s remnant chosen (the elect) will be saved.

Jesus said to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him, “No.” He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish. That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea. The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, but about a hundred yards off.

When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread. 10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.” 11 So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn.

Zechariah 12:10 – Grace to Jews – Him Whom They Have Pierced

10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.

Zechariah 13:6 – See nail pierced hands and know that Jesus Christ was their reigning savior.

And if one asks him, ‘What are these wounds on your back?’ he will say, ‘The wounds I received in the house of my friends.’

Previous Scripture about the fish and nets:

Luke 5:4-11

And when he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” And Simon answered, “Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets.” And when they had done this, they enclosed a large number of fish, and their nets were breaking. They signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.” For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish that they had taken, 10 and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.” 11 And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed him.

They were to be fishers of men and not give up.  Peter had lost sight of that lesson and now understood and thus getting on his knees before the master.

John 21:11-12

So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn. 12 Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord.

This lesson was to show them that God will save ‘the elect’. Though they did not have a full understanding currently.  God know them, the quantity, to be saved.
