Synopsis
The content of discipleship is most clearly seen in the Christian’s relationship to Jesus Christ. But this also affects a person’s relationship to God the Father, the cross, the church and the world.

Coming to Christ and following him
Matthew 4:19 (ESV) — 19 And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

They are to be active in the world but are to be distinct from it
